Battery life
Lenovo’s Legion 7i offers excellent battery life for a gaming laptop, lasting over six hours on our test. That’s more than double what we saw from the Predator Helios 300 (3:14), and it’s nearly an hour longer than the Alienware m15 R2 (5:21).
Of course, your mileage may vary depending on how you use your laptop. If you’re gaming or doing other power-intensive activities, you won’t get anywhere near that six-hour mark. But for general use, the Legion 7i will last you all day long.
The Alienware m15 R2 fared much worse in our battery life test, only lasting for five hours and 21 minutes. That’s still better than most gaming laptops, but it falls short of the Legion 7i.
